Award: The School Sport for Development Award
Winner: St Paul’s Way Trust School Location: London
St Paul’s Way Trust School has been a pioneering school for Greenhouse Sports. The school started Greenhouse Sports first tennis programme in 2012 and we have progressed on a journey together, seeing the school transition from ‘inadequate’ and undersubscribed 10 years ago to being rated ‘outstanding’. The value of quality coaching and mentoring runs through their DNA, especially for the most disadvantaged. A true standard bearer and pioneer in education, using the positive power of sport to unlock opportunity, potential and learning.
About the Charity
Greenhouse Sports is a charity that uses inspirational sports coaching and mentoring to engage young people and improve their life chances. We partner with schools to provide opportunities for young people who may be disengaged, vulnerable or facing disadvantage to develop the social, thinking, emotional and physical skills that help them thrive.
